In your dataset page, in the Columns tab, you can find the **New Formula Column** button on the top right: ![Image](https://discngine.github.io/ideation/Images/ideation-analytics-convert-ic50-to-pic50/figure-01.png) Click on it. That'll open the settings panel to create a customized column based on a formula. For the example below, we have an IC50 column expressed in nanomolar which we want to transform into pIC50. To do so, proceed as follows: - Enter a name for the new column. It must be unique - there is currently no way to override an existing column. ![Image](https://discngine.github.io/ideation/Images/ideation-analytics-convert-ic50-to-pic50/figure-02.png) - Next the formula. Start typing "-log(". Then, you can start typing the column name. Autocomplete will suggest the list of matching columns; you can then click on the column to convert and finish by closing the parenthesis. You should end up with something like this: ![Image](https://discngine.github.io/ideation/Images/ideation-analytics-convert-ic50-to-pic50/figure-03.png) - Click on **Create**. Your calculated column has been added to your dataset, and you can use it as you would any other column. As a reminder, until we introduce pre-defined conversion functions, here are a bunch of formulas that might be useful for unit conversion when using IC50s. IC50 to pIC50 pIC50 = -log10(IC50_M) pIC50 = -log10(IC50_mM * 1e-3) pIC50 = -log10(IC50_uM * 1e-6) pIC50 = -log10(IC50_nM * 1e-9)
